Inside sources close to the show tell us exclusively that Sheldon and the rest of the Big Bang gang are confirmed to come back! Earlier this morning CBS and Warner Bros. TV sealed the deal that renews CBS's hit comedy The Big Bang Theory for two more seasons of 22 eps each. News of CBS' intentions to renew BBT leaked earlier this month but the I's and T's had remained undotted and uncrossed until today. Ratings and critical acclaim (fact: BBT is dead funny) for Bang have been through the roof this season, not to mention that it fits brilliantly into the Eye network's lineup of male-oriented, multicamera comedies. A renewal was considered likely, but the double pickup deal means that CBS is very happy with the series.

Disney Channel enrolls 'High School Musical 4'

LOS ANGELES – The Disney Channel is going back to school with "High School Musical 4."

The fourth iteration of the popular musical franchise will begin production later this year and premiere in 2010.

The Disney Channel said in a statement Tuesday that the new movie will introduce a new cast of characters and will focus on a cross-town school rivalry.

"High School Musical" drew an audience of 7.7 million when it debuted in 2006. "High School Musical 2" more than doubled viewership of the original with 17.2 million in 2007. "High School Musical 3" was released in theaters in 2008 and made more than $40 million its opening weekend.

在年轻观众中颇具人气的电视电影《歌舞青春4》（High School Musical 4）已经在筹备中了，不过该片粉丝可能不会再看到扎克-埃夫隆(Zac Efron)和凡妮莎-哈金斯(Vanessa Hudgen)在片中唱歌跳舞了，因为他们已经毕业了。

美国迪斯尼频道近日发表声明，该台的电视电影《歌舞青春4》将会在2010年重归迪斯尼频道，而且将起用一批新的演员。

《歌舞青春》前三部都是讲述美国一所高中的青少年生活，其中的载歌载舞故事在美国青少年中引起了一股旋风。该片前两部在美国迪斯尼频道播出，分别收视达 770 万和1730万观众，后者也是有线台电视电影的收视记录。前两部《歌舞青春》在全球范围内的总收视可能达到了3亿观众。

第三部《歌舞青春3：毕业季》（High School Musical 3: Senior Year）以电影的方式于2008年10月在院线上映，结果全球总票房高达近2.5亿美元。

考虑到美国高中的三年制，如果要继续拍续集，起用新演员也是合理之举。迪斯尼在声明中说，前三部中的大部分演员将不会在第四部中出演。
